The Role:
As a Public, Media & Analyst Relations Specialist, you will be the driving force behind Acclivity’s public relations efforts, managing our client’s relationships with media outlets, industry analysts, and key influencers. You will work to shape our client’s image, secure impactful media coverage, and position their leadership as thought leaders in their industry. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns that align with business objectives and elevate our client’s presence across multiple channels. In addition to media relations, you will be responsible for managing relationships with industry analysts, ensuring products and services are effectively represented in key industry reports. You’ll also play a crucial role in driving content strategies and pitching opportunities for podcasts, speaking engagements, and thought leadership pieces. This role is central to shaping public-facing narratives and ensuring brands are well-positioned for continued growth and recognition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations: Build and nurture strong relationships with industry journalists, influencers, and media outlets, securing positive press coverage and placing stories.
- Analyst Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key industry analysts, ensuring products and services are well represented in analyst reports, and positioning our clients as a thought leader in their industries
- Podcast Pitching: Identify relevant industry podcasts, and pitch clients as guests to discuss trends, insights, and expertise, enhancing brand awareness and thought leadership.
- PR Campaigns: Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns, including press releases, articles, and thought leadership content that align with business objectives.
- Crisis Communications: Manage crisis communications, responding to inquiries from the media and stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
- Thought Leadership: Collaborate with SME’s and teams to identify opportunities for thought leadership in industry publications, podcasts, and speaking engagements.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track media coverage and measure the success of PR campaigns, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, content, and leadership teams to align PR efforts with broader marketing and business strategies.
- Managing Supporting Platforms: Monitor and manage media queries from platforms like Qwoted, manage pitch tracking in Asana and relationship tracking in HubSpot.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of PR experience, preferably in B2B or tech industries
- Proven track record of media outreach, securing press coverage, and managing public relations campaigns
- Strong relationships with industry journalists, media outlets, and influencers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for creating compelling narratives
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with media monitoring tools, press release distribution, and PR measurement
- Experience with industry networking, event participation, and building relationships with key stakeholders
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to think creatively about PR campaigns and opportunities for exposure
- Proficient in using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar), project management tools (Asana or similar), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in technical, niche knowledge industries (engineering, manufacturing, technology, etc.) is a plus.
