Acclivity is seeking an experienced writer or editor with the ability to translate highly technical products, concepts and offerings into understandable and compelling messaging that speaks directly to niche target audience pain points and use cases. This is an intermediate position for someone with experience in technical industries (manufacturing, engineering, electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, IoT, and similar) and demonstrated ability to craft thought leadership content.
You should have experience managing multiple brands and projects on tight timelines and quick turnaround settings (this doesn’t mean overtime, crazy hours or being available at all times – just responsiveness during work hours, superb time management and being a proactive, self-starter).
Projects could include:
Education: Journalism, Business, Psychology or similar relevant education
Alternate education, experience or interests we’d love to know about: Engineering, Manufacturing, International Business, Marketing/Advertising, Automotive/Mobility, Aerospace/Space/Aviation Industries, Supply Chain Logistics, Procurement and Purchasing in large B2B or B2G organizations, similar.
Nice to have: Experience as a magazine editor or writer, experience writing marketing or business strategies, experience with technical topics, experience writing persuasive, compelling website copy, experience ghostwriting thought leadership content for executives and industry experts, experience as a technical writer in an engineering environment, speech writing, and similar.
Additionally, you should be an expert in online research, a deft interviewer and a whiz with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Sharepoint, Outlook, and, to a lesser extent, PowerPoint and Excel. You excel with minimal supervision in a remote-first/work-from-anywhere environment
You proactively keep up to date on marketing and copywriting trends and best practices, as well as technical industry trends
